Hi! I'm Jasmine. I figured out undertow by ear, so I don't have the music notes written down. However I did figure out the chords -- it's the live version. For the verses, it's the same pattern over again, and the chords are sort of broken up into a certain rhythm. It's kind of hard to explain without the notes, but here I go... and I apologize if it isn't clear. The verses are in the key of Bb minor, but it changes key when it hits the chorus to Db. For the verses, the left hand is basically playing single notes and the right hand is playing chords following up. If you look at some of the videos of Undertow during the Gravity Tour, you'll be able to hear what it sounds like.

Chord/Note #1.
LH: Bb (press twice, first time longer)
RH: Bbminor chord (Bb, Db, F)

Chord/Note #2
LH: F
RH: Bbminor/A (A, Db, F)
PLAY THESE AT THE SAME TIME.

Chord/Note #3
LH: Gb (press twice, first time longer), Ab
RH: Bb+Db (play together), Eb, Bb+Db (when you strike these two, strike it with the Ab)

Progression pattern: Ab, A, Bb (play quickly).

This pattern repeats throughout all verses.

The chords are played off-beat. So it isn't directly on the word it's above. Again, you'll probably have to use a recording to know where to place them. I haven't figured out the bridge. But I hope this helps you.

Good news: I figured out the intro to My Love.
Bad news: I don't know when I'll have time to figure out the rest. I've been so busy with school.

But here's the intro:

The piece is very weird, and I mean that in a good way. It's kind of like when someone's reading poetry out loud, there's a little music in the background to go with it. So basically, Sara is just playing some music in the background for her vocals. No definite chords. Not a metronomic beat. And she kind of plays it all with such emotion that there really isn't a need for it. And that's great. But it's especially hard to figure out because there are patterns... not sections. So once in a while, you think you hear the same part, but it's not, because she always changes it. One of the greatest things about Sara performing live is that she never, ever plays something the exact same way. She's always taking musical liberties.

SO ANYWAY. (That was a speech.. and a half... anyway...). Back to the intro.

Key of F (for piano).

The RH is playing the perfect fifth up of F (which is C). So you press those together the whole time, while adding some fancy stuff into it, like Sara does. You'll probably be able to figure out the "fancy notes" by listening to the song, and you're probably better off doing that because I suck at tutorials.

RH:
1st pattern: F&C (played together, F is bottom note), E F (goes up, played separately), F&C played twice, E F G, F&C. Again, listen to the song, you'll know where the notes go.
2nd pattern: F&C, E F, F&C (2x), E, F&C. (basically the same thing, less fanciness).

LH:
you'll have to open your ears a little to hear the bass notes in the piano and where they come in.

1st pattern (played with RH first pattern): F (the one below middle C), B (below F), C (above B), G (played twice).
2nd pattern: F, E (just a step down), F.
